The Love of Joo: Let's leave bad impressions now to avoid heartache later

Hello fellow readers, and welcome to this little column of mine. The newschool year has begun at last and all is well within the hallowed hallsof Ohio University. And if there is one activity that everyone will soonbe participating in, it is the dating scene.

However, while going out with someone and getting to know them better on a one-on-onebasis can be loads of great fun, there is one thing that has recently begun to bug me about the whole procedure: Whenever you go out on a date with someone for the first time, you and yours are always trying to put on a fake front to leave a good impression.

We've all been there: You've finally scored that first date with that gorgeous classmateof yours, and you want him (or her) to think you can walk on waterbefore your date's over. Women will laugh at every stupid joke you tell, and men will pretend that they know who Carrie Bradshaw isand will totally agree that she belongs with Mr. Big. The whole thing is absurd!

Because you know what could happen next. Suppose you play your cards right and you and your snoogly-booguns start heading down a tunnel of love. Then a few weeks will pass by and you begin to get comfy and the walls come down.

That's when all the little quirks come out, those traits and flaws that can ruin any relationship. -

Justin but why don't you put your aviators where your eye sockets are?

Smashing rebuttal,readers!-
