As an OU alum (BSJ '99), I often return to The Post to see what's going on around campus. Well, thank goodness Ashley Herzog is around to bring issues of sexism and misogyny in the media to the forefront! Without her, I would not even know how to begin to identify these issues as contemporary problems, things that are just now surfacing. Thank goodness I have her. Because on her advice I'm supposed to avoid classes that have queer or women or non-western in their titles. If only I would have followed her curriculum advice while at OU! I would be SO much better at identifying ways in which the media perpetuates an ignorantly patriarchal society.
