Something I've realized lately is that we really take for granted all of the excellent, unclouded judgment we had as kids.
Here's an example from my own childhood: On the first day of kindergarten, I was minding my own business over in the blocks area when a blonde girl in my class walked right up to me and said, Hey
wanna be best friends?
Generally timid and independent, I wasn't quite sure how to approach this situation, so I did what most unassuming kindergarteners would do - 17
