Back Talk:-

With a little help from coach Neil Macmillan (he played the role of the interviewer, and I provided the questions), junior Marcy Dull offered her thoughts on a variety of subjects before yesterday's practice.

Post: How disappointing was the 2-1 loss to Miami on Sunday?

Marcy Dull: It was pretty disappointing. I think we all had better expectations of ourselves as a team that day. Coming out with a loss just wasn't satisfying to anybody.

Post: So, you went to high school with (fellow junior) teammate Katelyn Shelley?

Dull: That's a fact.

Post: What kind of relationship did you guys have in those days?

Dull: In high school, me and Katelyn were really close. Obviously, we played field hockey together, and we played lacrosse for a year. So, we were always close on the field and off the field.

Post: Are you sick of her yet?

Dull: Oh yeah, man. (laughs) No, not at all. We still have a good relationship and enjoy each other's company just as much as we did a couple years ago.

Post: I know Torrie Albini said she was the team's jokester last season. Who's filling that role in her stead?

Dull: I would say Nikki (Gnozzio) is up there. For a freshman, (Jen) McGill is making a pretty good name for herself.

Post: I tend to see you and Nina Bruno goofing off after practice. What's up with that?

Dull: Usually after practice, you're just exhausted. Might have had a bad drill, so if you can just hit around with somebody and relieve some frustration. Nina's always there for me. So, we like to get together after practice and mess around.

Post: What's your favorite Uptown location to grab a bite to eat?

Dull: I would have to say G? man, that's tough. I would say Big Mama's. I love Mexican food, and you've got to support the local business. I'm sticking to my guns.

Post: Alright, the big question: What's your favorite television show? Or can you not keep up with one because of field hockey?

Dull: I would say SportsCenter, and it's really easy to keep up with.-
