Your Turn: Students should raise voices, battle OU officials

McDavis' pay raise, OU's recent fall in rank, the university revving up costs in every corner they can possibly manage. These have been the controversies on the lips of students and faculty all around campus. The excellent work of The Post has not been shy in exposing information that blatantly upsets so many in this school. But a spotlight can only shed light on a problem, not solve it.

We, as students, are the consumers at Ohio University. Without our tuition and without our acceptance of OU as our institution of education, how could this school stay standing? So wouldn't it make sense that the will of the students should be the most important factor in determining the practices of OU? Why should we have to spend hours waiting for health care at Hudson when we're sick? Why should we be forced to pay extra for the failure of Baker Center and McDavis' pay raise?

My fellow students, if you're sick of increasing costs, waiting hours at Hudson when you're ill and pathetic excuses for the increase of our president's pay, then it's time to speak up. And if they refuse to listen? Speak louder! Remember, there are more students than administrators. It's a battle we can win.-
