All of the Above: Nelson Market perfect spot for personality profiling

They say you are what you eat. If that's true, then I probably look like a giant Ruffles Cheddar and Sour Cream potato chip. But when I went to pick up some snacks at Nelson Market the other day, I noticed that what a person brings to the counter says a lot about their personality. This week, I decided to dissect some of these market staples:

The Super 20 Superstar - On a Saturday afternoon, you can always be sure to see that freshman who got the Super 20 meal plan thinking they would eat every meal in the dining hall, but ends up at the market at the end of the week with 10 meals left and a lost look on their face. They also can be seen struggling to carry all their bags back to the dorm after they unnecessarily buy paper plates, frozen dinners and cases of bottled water.

The Herbal Connoisseur - This guy goes straight to the counter and asks for Clear Eyes Redness Relief eye drops. He seals off the two-meal, $12.00 deal with Cosmic Brownies and a pint of Ben & Jerry's Half Baked. I wonder what he was doing all day?

The Cocktail Champion - You usually can find this girl in the market on a Friday or Saturday afternoon filling her basket with 10 bottles of cranberry juice and red Solo party cups. If only there were a flex plan so she could use Bobcat Cash on a bottle of Kamchatka.

The Front Four Bros - These quad-mates, en route to Ping in mesh shorts and sweatbands, usually will make a stop at the market for a gallon of milk and a carton of eggs, which may or may not be consumed raw. This really complements the palate when washing down fire-flavored chicken strips from Nelson Grab-n-Go.

The Late-Night Studier - Ohio University's Dean's List students can be found right before the market closes at midnight, stocking up on cases of Red Bull and Starbucks bottled Frappuccinos - the essentials for a hot late-night date with Alden Library.

The Hangover Hydrator - Usually seen sporting pajamas, no makeup and bed head, this person will shuffle to the market on Sunday afternoon to stock up on Gatorade and greasy frozen appetizers to curb the misery of a weekend hangover. Hey, sometimes it's just too difficult to walk all the way up to Chipotle.
