Ohio University plans to lay off employees to help balance its budget, university President Roderick McDavis announced today.
In a video address posted to the university's Web site, McDavis gave few details of the layoff plans. He did note that the number of administrative and classified employees that opt for early retirement will affect the number of layoffs.
Details of the early retirement plan will be announced early next week, McDavis said.
