Portuguese water dogs
It looks like President Obama is well on his way to fulfilling those promises he made during his campaign. The first family finally brought home their new pooch - a Portuguese water dog named Bo - that Obama promised his two daughters during his victory speech. The dog is hypoallergenic and exceptionally adorable. I can't help but wonder how many people are going to want a Portuguese water dog now that there's one in the White House.

The Colbert space treadmill
Only Stephen Colbert would enlist the help of viewers to win a NASA contest to name the new wing of the International Space Station, and only Stephen Colbert would actually win. But sadly, NASA reserved the right to ultimately select a name for the wing, so Colbert is getting a space treadmill named after him instead: the Combined Operational Load Bearing External Resistance Treadmill, or COLBERT. What more could any comedian wish for?
