Burn marks in the shape of swastikas were found in the doorframe of an elevator in Atkinson House Friday night, according to an Athens police report.
Andrew Wade, a sophomore studying sports management and a residential assistant for the Atkinson housing complex, said the five burn marks are the latest in a series of swastika burn marks made on the elevator doorframe.
Wade said other RAs had wiped swastikas off the doorframe before and that in response the vandals had burned insults as well as more swastikas soon after.

said Nick Roff, a freshman studying environmental health science who lives in Atkinson House.
No evidence was found at the site and the case will remain inactive until there are further investigative leads according to the report.
