Ohio finished ninth in the 18-team Lady Colonel Classic in Richmond, Ky., this weekend.
The Bobcats shot a team total of 956 for all three rounds, which was 92 strokes over par.
Colleen Lienesch shaved 10 strokes off Saturday's first round score of 83, by shooting a career-best 73 in Saturday's second round.
Lienesch shot a combined 236 (plus 20), earning her a tie for 23rd - her best finish this season.
She was pretty focused out there taking it one shot at a time
coach Kelly Ovington said. We were fortunate she had such an outstanding round.
Lienesch finished the outing with an 80 on Sunday, despite terrible playing conditions all weekend.
It was a mess out there Ovington said.
Lienesch said that Saturday's first round was cold, wet and muddy.
The Bobcats wanted to finish in the top six, but Ovington said that she is very pleased with the way her team competed.
To finish in the top half is pretty good Ovington said. We still have to work on our short game.
Ovington noted that Ohio saw some of the tougher competition at the Lady Colonel Classic.
The Bobcats competed against four other Mid-American Conference teams: Toledo (first), Eastern Michigan (third) Akron (seventh) and Bowling Green (18th).
Lindsay Bergman tied for 30th place with a score of 238 (22 over par).
