I admire Michael Adeyanju and Chauncey Jackson for not putting their influence behind feel-good but uninformed displays of emotion. In your Friday editorial Puppet Show
you conveniently forgot to mention that two of the sponsors of the voting resolution were unable to name the Chairman of the Board of Trustees (C. Daniel DeLawder; you can see his picture here: www.ohio.edu/trustees/). If the activists know so little, why criticize the inference that the general population of students is even less informed? Michael Adeyanju's insistence on a minimal level of competence in activities he will support is called leadership, which seeks to develop, challenge and encourage the growth of those for whom he is responsible, even in some small way. You may not realize it, but the Board of Trustees is more likely to listen to him after his display of courage and conviction than to a drive-by vote of thousands of uninformed students.
