An Ohio University sophomore had two types of drugs in his system when he died after falling from the fourth-floor window of his residence hall in April.
Eric Hansen, 20, had marijuana and psilocin, a hallucinogen found in mushrooms, in his system when he fell, Dr. Jan Gorniak of the Franklin County Coroner's office confirmed today.
Hansen fell from his window in Weld Hall, located on South Green, just before midnight on April 28. He died the next afternoon at Grant Medical Center in Columbus.
The official cause of death is listed as blunt force trauma to the head.
Chief Andrew Powers of the Ohio
University Police Department declined to comment on the story, but said the investigation is still on-going.
