Post Letters: Tennessee Volunteers sound-off for 110's courtesy, style

I want to take a moment to tell Director Richard Suk how much I thoroughly enjoyed the Marching 110's performance at Neyland Stadium this evening and to congratulate him on the outstanding job his band did representing Ohio University.

The members' unique marching style, disciplined formations, great sound and inventive dance moves all made for a phenomenal performance. I especially appreciated their sense of humor and ability to not take themselves too seriously

at least as far as the dancing was concerned. In the last ten years, I've never heard an opposing band get as enthusiastic of a reception as the Marching 110 received at the conclusion of the performance.

Beyond their performance, the band also conducted themselves admirably when they weren't performing. I sincerely appreciated the decisions to take a knee and observe the Tennessee band after their performance and to stand out of respect during the Alma Mater, and their patience and courtesy as they returned to their seats after performing (waiting at the tunnel to let our team re-take the field after halftime).

The way they performed and conducted themselves at all times reflects very highly on the band members, the program leadership and the university.

Again, thank you for sharing a thoroughly entertaining performance with us and congratulations on fielding an outstanding marching band.
