BALL STATE LED LATE IN THE FOURTH QUARTER, BUT COULDN'T HOLD ON
Ball State (0-5, 0-1 Mid-American Conference) led 30-29 in the fourth quarter, but Toledo (3-2, 1-0 MAC) spoiled the Cardinals' Homecoming by beating them 37-30.
Toledo quarterback Taylor Opelt threw for 422 yards and five touchdowns with one interception.

MIAMI STILL LOOKING FOR A WIN
Miami took on Big East powerhouse Cincinnati and remains winless after losing 37-13.
With its win, Cincinnati improved to 5-0, and Miami fell to 0-5 overall and 0-2 in the MAC.
Miami quarterback Zac Dysert passed for 286 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.
CENTRAL MICHIGAN DEFEATS BUFFALO
Central Michigan continued its winning ways against Buffalo (1-4, 0-2 MAC), winning 20-13.
The Chippewas keep hold of the best record in the MAC at 4-1 overall and 2-0 in the conference.
Dan LeFevour amassed 268 passing yards, two touchdowns and one interception, along with 98 yards on the ground.
There still is a lot of work to do and improvement to do said Central Michigan coach Butch Jones. We need to run the ball more consistently.
The Bulls out gained the Chippewas 433-412, but it didn't matter in the end.
THE REST OF THE MAC
Temple jumped out to a 21-0 lead against Eastern Michigan, and then tacked on three more to defeat the Eagles 24-12.
Temple(2-2, 2-0 MAC) was lead by Bernard Pierce who rushed for 180 yards and two touchdowns. Eastern Michigan(0-4, 0-1 MAC) will try to get its first win of the year next week at Central Michigan.
Northern Illinois (3-2, 1-0 MAC) beat Western Michigan(2-3, 1-1) 38-3. Kent State(2-3, 1-0 MAC) lost a non-conference game to Baylor(3-1, 2-1) 31-15.
