Officers arrested a Columbus man when he threatened residents on Mill Street with a handgun Saturday afternoon, according to police.
Athens police charged Lee Khoeum, 21, with aggravated menacing, intoxication and possessing a weapon under disability, according to the police report.
Officers took Khoeum's 9 millimeter handgun after reports of threats at 52 Mill St., and then transported him to Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail.
Khoeum's record of seven charges in the Franklin County Municipal Court dates back to 2006. These are Khoeum's first charges in Athens County.
The reporting officer was not available at press time.
