It started in the fall of 1999 with two friends working at a pizza place and a band called Space Wanker 5000. Ten years later, Zach Fuller and Curtis Frey no longer work at GoodFella's, and the members of Space Wanker 5000 became local champions of the dirty punk band We March, with Fuller on vocals and Frey
on guitar.
Though few local bands last so long, 10 years hasn't seemed like much to the band, Frey said.
We've been so drunk and stoned ... We've been wasted half the time
so it really only seems like five years. he said.
The band, which has gone through about six drummers and eight bassists, managed to recall some of the more outlandish incidents from its career.
There was this old Mexican guy like 60 years old and he was wearing a Camel jersey
like Camel cigarettes
and a gold chain ... He had fallen asleep and run his car off the highway. Zac stopped the van and picked him up
and he sat in the back kind of shaking and falling asleep.
At some point I realized that (former bassist) Neil had been asleep the entire time, and that at some point he's going to wake up and look behind him and see a 60-year-old Mexican sitting behind him ... About 15 minutes in, Neil woke up. He just yawned and looked back, saw the guy, then turned around and said nothing, Frey said.

while on tour in the Southwest
the band was pulled over and had an unusual experience with a police officer
Frey said.
Zac got out of the van. He wasn't wearing a shirt and he was all cut up because he had cut himself open at a show in Austin the night before. The cop opened the side door of the van and just said, 'All right, fellas, where's the bong?' Frey said.
After searching the van
which featured pornography and plastic jugs of urine
the officer allowed the band to continue on its way
