Incumbent City Councilwoman Christine Fahl fended off Republican challenger Randy Morris, retaining her 4th Ward council seat by 30 votes.
Fahl defeated Morris 376 to 346, excluding provisional ballots.
Morris' defeat means the Athens City Council will continue to consist of only all Democrats.
City and County issues 4,5,6 and 7 all passed, each with a margin of at least 25 percent of the vote
