A specially-appointed judge found the Athens County Democratic Party chairwoman guilty of two counts of falsification, but not guilty of unauthorized use of property, money laundering and two counts of theft.
Falsification is a misdemeanor and carries a maximum sentence of six months in prison.
A jury indicted Chairwoman Susan Gwinn in September 2009 for withholding information about where she received $27,500 in campaign contributions during her 2008 campaign for county prosecutor.
In November 2009, another jury indicted Gwinn for bribery after special prosecutor Dave Yost accused her of offering students $5 for each voter brought to the polls during the Athens city council election. The bribery charges were dismissed.
