Senate Chairman Joe McLaughlin said, adding that no combination would satisfy everyone, but the 14-week semester with a four-week break was better for faculty.
I appreciate the fact that the provost and the deans were willing to reconsider and re-discuss. It may not be quite as vexed an issue as the quarters versus semesters issue was a few years ago but this is not the kind of thing that's going to make everyone happy he said.
Although the semester calendar is not finalized, Benoit said the 14-week term with a four-week winter break maintains essential instructional time while allowing students extended internship
