Ohio University’s Executive Vice President and Provost Pam Benoit traveled to Germany at the end of Fall Quarter to celebrate the 600th anniversary of OU’s sister school in Leipzig.
The event included representatives from 25 universities, two of them in the United States.
Along with ceremonial marches and music, which Benoit said she enjoyed, the provost also got to plant a lime tree.
“It was a much bigger tree than I anticipated,” she said, laughing.
Two other representatives from OU went with the provost.
