GALOSHES

In light of the recent rain, we traded snow boots for rain boots. While the rain seems to depress the majority of the student population, I am thrilled. Galoshes are fabulous, because they are vibrant colors and are an excuse to look ridiculous and be socially condoned. When I don my galoshes, I regress to my childhood and puddle jump through the streets of Athens. Pair with a Juicy Juice and umbrella and you are a 5-year-old again. Splash about as you please.

CHATROULETTE

Currently one of the guiltiest pleasures on the Internet, Chatroulette.com is a site that lets you interact with other users from all over the world. Once you've connected to the service, you are given random, live shots of other people and can decide whether or not they look weird enough to start up a conversation via web cam or a chat window. If somebody's just too creepy, no problem - simply click next until you find someone that meets your standards. A word of caution: choose wisely when it comes to the time of day that you log in. If it's between midnight and 5 a.m., be prepared for some interesting experiences.

CURLING

Every couple years some aspect of either the Winter or Summer Olympics captivates an audience and seems to outshine the rest of the games. I'd say the buzz is on the ice. But it's curling - not hockey, figure skating or speed skating - that has my attention. A sport that none of my friends knew anything about has us screaming at the TV and Wikipedia-searching the rules. I went to wake up my friend one morning and he said, I have to sleep. That curling last night was intense. Wore me out. Don't miss it, even if the U.S. is terrible.
