A vehicle struck a woman at the corner of Mill Street and Stewart Street tonight, a firefighter said.
The Athens Fire Department and Athens Police Department responded to the scene, said Lt. Robert Rymer of the Fire Department.
The Fire Department administered first aid to the woman who was then taken to a hospital by Southeastern Ohio Emergency Medical Services, Rymer said.
Athens Police Department is investigating the accident, Rymer said. He declined to offer more details.
A representative from Athens Police Department was not available at press time.
