Ohio University's Board of Trustees will have a new chairman at their June meeting.
Trustees today voted to make M. Marnette Perry, an eight-year veteran of the board, its chairwoman for the next year. It will be the last year of Perry's term.
Current Chairman C. Robert Kidder will become vice chairman.
Kidder agreed to take over the chairman's position last year after then-Chairman C. Daniel Delawder's term ended. Perry, who was also vice chairwoman under Delawder, declined to take the higher positions because of family health concerns.
The board voted unanimously today to make the switch now that Perry has said she feels she can take on the responsibility.
Kidder is in his seventh year on the board.
