As coach Ryan Theis' short spring schedule draws to a close, the roles and positions of some players are beginning to take shape.
But at the same time, much uncertainty still surrounds the team.
I'm not really ready to say anything concrete about playing time or starting or roles or anything like that
Theis said. We have four freshmen coming in and all of them could see significant playing time.
He did confirm the roles of several players on the team, though, none of which should be a surprise this fall.
Sue (Jacobi) is going to be a major point scorer for us that's for sure
he said. Michelle Jantsch could potentially be setter of the year in the MAC (Mid-American Conference)
and Meryl Bender is going to have to control the ball for us.
After that, the whole thing is a crapshoot.
Sunday afternoon
the Bobcats will play their final match of the spring season
and it may answer some of these questions. They will host Marshall at The Convo.
Last season
the Thundering Herd finished 22-9 on the year
and was eliminated by Rice in the first round of the Conference USA tournament.
It will be the fourth match of the spring
and the first one at home for Ohio.
Throughout the spring season
Theis said he has seen significant improvement with his squad.
This was particularly evident in the spring's two matches against the Cincinnati Bearcats. In the first meeting
