After coming off a last place finish in their last event, the Marshall Invitational, the only way the Bobcats can go is up.

Hosted by Bowling Green State University, The John Piper Intercollegiate will begin first and second round action today at 8:00 a.m. with players teeing off on the first and 10th tees. After today's 36 holes, Tuesday's final round will begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
The short game hurt the Bobcats last week, with Ohio missing multiple putts from a very short difference. While inexperience may be to blame, Cooley made sure it wouldn't be a storyline this week.
We worked a lot on our putting the last few weeks said Cooley, We did some competitions among each other things like that.
The Bobcats are coming off a last place finish in their last event at the Marshall Invitational, which saw Byron Firestone lead Ohio in scoring with an even par 213, which tied him for 32nd Place.
The Piper Intercollegiate will be played at the Falcons' Stone Ridge Golf Club, a par-72, 7,064-yard course. Besides the Bobcats, schools set to compete in this year's event include Bowling Green State University, Butler, Cleveland State, Dayton, Eastern Kentucky, Indiana-Purdue-Fort Wayne (IPFW), Valparaiso, Youngstown State, Wright State and two teams from Indianapolis.
The projected line-up for the Bobcats in this week's event includes the five players that competed in the Bobcats' last event plus Michael Lamping, a transfer from Flagler College. The sophomore will compete after coach Cooley said Lamping looked good in practice.
Ohio competed in the *Piper Intercollegiate last year finishing in ninth place. Chad Warmbien lead the way for the Bobcats shooting a three-round total of 218, which tied him for 10th.
