Have you ever stopped and wondered what makes human life so diverse from any other living organism? To be honest, the difference that stuck out most to me was the fact that we are the only species to cause harm to one another just for the thrill of it. However, I believe that human life seems to be closely related to that of a plant's life.
First, you are planted; sometimes this is planned and other times it is by accident. In other words either your caretaker goes to the store, buys the exact type of flower and then plants you where and when they would like or, you are the result of some freak germination accident in which the right measures weren't taken to keep you from sprouting up. Then you grow up and eventually die. Within the lifespan you sometimes make people happy, sometimes you get rejected, sometimes you are used to mend broken things, sometimes you are tended to like you should be or sometimes you are left to fend for you own life. Other times you might get stormed on and you might get cold and lonely. However, no matter what happens during the first season of your life, you always spring back up with stronger roots and brighter blooms.
In order for a plant to survive, it relies on all subject and materials around it to be in a steady working condition, much like people rely on those who surround them to follow through with the promises they make. Plants rely on a caretaker to get its life started, make sure it is groomed properly, given the right amount of nutrients and cared for. Once the caretaker has given the plants the proper care, it is then up to the plant to make the right decisions in order to make its life a healthy and safe one. Just like the relationship between parent and child. For example a parents puts its child through school, instills moral and values within the child and then hopes that the child will be able to speak for its self and make the proper decisions that will advance them in life.
The point is everything, everyone and every plant are dependent on some other force in order for its life to be maintained. People rely on other people for jobs, support and love. Plants rely on people to make sure they are given everything needed in order for them to grow healthy. People may call themselves a loner, saying that they don't need anyone nor do they care about anyone. But, the truth is - that's a lie. Everyone is dependent on some other person for something whether it is an education, money or just a friend.
It's OK to need someone in order to survive; everyone relies on someone else during their lifetime. Rather than spending your life trying to make yourself the perfect plant, try taking some time to enjoy the surroundings that have gotten you to where you are today.
