Last winter on a very cold and snow covered day I received a phone call from a woman who identified herself as Linda Secrest. She told me that she had decided to run in the primary for the seat being vacated by Jennifer Garrison, the seat being in the House of Representatives in the 93rd district. Since I am the president of the women's Democratic Club, she was asking for a spot at a meeting to introduce herself to the members. Linda won the primary.
Since then, I have come to know Linda Secrest as a person who is warm, caring and shows a great deal of empathy for those who are in need. Politically, I trust her to be honest and to run a transparent office, which will be open to her constituents. Her work ethic is astounding. She has made Washington County her home away from home. She has knocked on doors, made phone calls, walked in parades, attended fundraisers and socials, and has shaken hands with the public whenever the opportunity presented itself.
Linda was born and raised in Southeastern Ohio. She is one of us. She knows our needs and is ready to go to work for us. Linda is the best choice insofar as serving Southeastern Ohio. She is the stronger, more intelligent, and extremely capable candidate. Jennifer Garrison raised the bar while serving as our state representative, and Linda Secrest is the only candidate who can fill this seat and meet our needs. Thank you Jennifer, and welcome Linda. Please vote for Linda Secrest Nov. 2 and know that you made the best choice for the 93rd district.
