An Athens man was charged with gross sexual imposition for allegedly having sexual contact with a minor.
Wayne K. Barrows, 40, was charged with one count of gross sexual imposition for sexually molesting an 11-year-old girl.
Barrows allegedly had sexual contact with the girl sometime between Nov. 1 and 31, according to court documents.
Barrows was arrested Tuesday by Athens County Sheriff's Detective Steve Sedwick and taken to Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail.
Barrows appeared in Athens County Municipal Court Wednesday. Barrows pleaded not guilty to the charge.
His bond is set at $75,000 without bail. He is being held at the jail.
Gross sexual imposition is a third-degree felony. Barrows could spend a maximum of five years in prison and pay a maximum fine of $10,000 if convicted, according to the Ohio Revised Code.
Barrow's preliminary hearing is set for 2 p.m., Jan. 21.
