During the three-day weekend, local law enforcement responded to a call of public indecency and an assault.
Ohio University Police issued a crime alert after a female student reported that a college-aged man exposed himself and made vulgar comments to her on Thursday night in the parking lot across from Washington Hall, according to the alert.
Police released a sketch of the man, described as 5-feet-6-inches to 5-feet-7-inches with shaggy, dark brown hair and scruffy facial hair.
The man was wearing a black beanie skullcap, blue jeans with holes in the front and a black t-shirt under a dark gray The North Face jacket, according to the alert.
On Jan. 15, Athens Police were called to O'Betty's Red Hot Dogs & Sausages, 15 W. State St., after a fight broke out around 2:09 a.m., according to an Athens Police report.
OU freshman Tevin Weind, 18, of Columbus, was arrested and charged with assaulting another OU freshman. Weind was also charged with resisting arrest and underage consumption, according to the report.
He is scheduled to appear in court today.
Athens Police also released the report of an incident that happened last weekend at the Maplewood Inn and Drive Thru, 700 E. State St.
At about 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 9, a woman told police she was grabbed inappropriately by another patron. Police arrested a suspect at the scene.
The investigation is still pending.
