Editor's Note: The building mentioned in the following letter is 15 Park Place, located next to Baker University Center.
It seems that Ohio University seems to care more about money than history. For right now a building that is more than 102 years old and in good shape structurally is being torn down in spite of public outcry against.
I feel the late owner is spinning in his grave as we speak. His family did not give the building to OU just to have it torn down. To my knowledge, they were hoping OU would protect the historic structure.
Well, at least they are being environmentally friendly with the demolition by recycling what they can. So, I have to give them that - in spite of this atrocity to a historical place.
