Ohio wrestling clinched a share of the Mid-American Conference regular season championship after a 28-9 win against Eastern Michigan yesterday at The Convo.
With Central Michigan’s 20-14 win against Kent State, the trio share the regular-season MAC title with matching 4-1 records.
The Bobcats won seven of the 10 matches that took place. Ryan Garringer needed only 32 seconds to pin his opponent at 184 pounds, Khodar Holbollah. Senior Germane Lindsey won by major decision at 141 pounds. Nick Purdue, Eric Schuth, Jeremy Johnson, Brad Squire and Gabe Ramos also recorded wins.
The Bobcats will compete next at the MAC Championships in DeKalb, Ill., March 5-6.
