I was very dissapointed last night when I went to the student’s page and tried to access the student book exchange. The domain name expired in January of this year, and judging by the removal of the link from the student’s page, the powers that be have no intention of renewing it.
I have six books that are worth at least $45, and if I try to sell them Uptown, I’d be amazed if I got $15 for the lot. And I’m sure many of you would agree that 30 bucks makes a big difference.
The book exchange was great because it allowed me to buy and sell my books for a more reasonable price than I would get in the bookstores without having to deal with the hassle of shipping books.
I would love to see the book exchange back up and running for Spring Quarter. I’m already paying so much to attend this school. I would like to save money where I can, and the book exchange allowed me to do that.
