The Athens County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal stabbing in New Marshfield yesterday, a crime the sheriff suspects may have resulted from a robbery.
James Braden Mclain, 43, was found dead in his home on Gun Club Road at about 4:30 p.m. yesterday after receiving multiple stab wounds, according to a news release from Sheriff Patrick Kelly.
Deputies from the office and members of the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation were on scene at Mclain's home yesterday after family members found Mclain in his living room.
The sheriff's office is currently conducting interviews and awaiting a search warrant on the residence.
