Officers nab wanted man at O'Bleness

A man with five warrants out for his arrest was spotted in Athens Saturday night and taken to jail.

Joshua B. Hill, 26, was arrested Saturday at 11:44 p.m. after Athens Police officers received a tip that he was visiting a friend at the O’Bleness Memorial Hospital Emergency Room, according to a police report.

Officers confronted Hill and took him into custody. He had five warrants out for his arrest, with one of the warrants outside the pick-up radius, according to the report.

The five warrants issued were for failure to appear on the following charges: contempt, a $560 bond, two assaults and one theft, a $16,000 bond, and child support, with no bond. The last warrant was issued out of Xenia, according to the report.

He currently is being held in Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail.
