An Ohio University student was arrested outside an Uptown bar early Saturday morning for assault, underage consumption and obstruction of official business.
Athens Police officers arrested Christopher N. Schade, 20, at about 12:35 a.m. Saturday after being called to Pawpurr’s Bar, 37 N. Court St., in reference to an assault.
The victim told officers that a male in a tank top and multicolored shorts hit him in the face and knocked him unconscious, according to an Athens Police report.
After officers located a man matching this description on Mill Street, officers identified Schade, according to the report.
Schade was transported to Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail. He will appear in Athens County Municipal Court today at 9:30 a.m.
