Post Letter: 'Boy' column reads like 'sad diary entry'

Yesterday’s Post column ‘Bent on Boys’ is an embarrassment.

First of all, it is a pretty audacious statement for Bentley Weisel to make that for every guy friend I have ever known we had used to: “date/’talk’/be in a relationship, you (used to) like them, they (used to) like you or something physical occurred between the two of you at one point in time.”

This probably can only apply to the author because this clearly is not the case. The friendships I have started with many of my guy friends never have started for any of the reasons listed above.

Not all of us have an agenda filled with creating a romance when making new friends.

Second, Bentley Weisel, who are you to make these accusations? I love how the evidence to support your theory is based on the movie When Harry Met Sally. Movies always depict real life.

Lastly, “In fact, girls thrive on the feeling of being wanted…”

Weisel is  making it seem that the key to our happiness is a feeling of want from men.

This seriously sounds like a sad diary entry from a girl who is somewhat boy obsessed.
