Another Ohio University administrator has accepted a retirement incentive.
Ernest Leon Anderson, chair of the department of sociology and anthropology, will receive $50,000 from OU, along with one year of credit from the Ohio State Teachers Retirement System credit.
Anderson’s effective date of retirement is July 1, 2011.
Anderson is the 14th OU leader to step down from a position this year. Among the other departures are a vice president, three assistant vice presidents, an executive dean, five deans and three other directors.
This week alone, both dean of OU’s Chillicothe Campus Donna Burgraff and director of Media Arts and Studirs Roger Cooper have stepped down. Dean of OU’s Eastern Campus Rich Greenlee filed papers for early retirement.
