More than 70 people were arrested by Athens County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Liquor Control agents at Saturday’s 8Fest.
Liquor Control agents arrested 76 people throughout Saturday, 53 for underage consumption, possession and intoxication, according to a news release from Sheriff Pat Kelly.
Other charges included fake ID, furnishing to underage, falsification and disorderly conduct, according to the release.
The 35 deputies with the Sheriff’s Office patrolling the fest arrested only two people, one for disorderly conduct by intoxication and another for persistent disorderly conduct.
The office received about $15,000 to police the event, said Dominic Petrozzi, 8Fest’s organizer.
Athens County Emergency Medical Service transported eight people to O’Bleness Memorial Hospital for alcohol-related reasons and provided care to 120 people on scene, according to the release.
