Chauncey woman reports she was kidnapped by ex-boyfriend

A Chauncey woman reported last night to Athens County Sheriff's Office deputies she was kidnapped from the parking lot of the Marathon Gas Station.

Tiffany Rutter, 20, of Buchtel, Ohio, reported she was abducted yesterday at about 8 p.m. by her ex-boyfriend Joseph King, 20, of Pomeroy, Ohio, according a sheriff's office news release. 

Rutter's sister called 9-1-1 after she received a call from Rutter asking her to call the cops, according to the release. 

She was located on Hebardsville Road at about 8:30 p.m. She told deputies she was physically assaulted and left in the road, according to the release. 

Rutter was transported to O'Bleness Memorial Hospital by Athens County Emergency Medical Services for treatment, according to the release. 

At 1 a.m. this morning, King was arrested and charged with kidnapping, according to the release.
