A rainy Palmer Place Fest garnered 49 arrests by Athens Police and Liquor Control and was shut down at midnight last night.
Athens Police officers arrested seven people on mostly alcohol related charges. All those arrested were transported to Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail, according to an email send by Police Chief Tom Pyle.
The party was shut down at midnight after Palmer Place management requested assistance from officers, according to the email.
Earlier in the evening, evidence was collected on an indoor marijuana growing operation on the west side and felony charges are expected as a result, although specific charges are unknown, according to the email.
Liquor Control also made 42 arrests last night.
