A Vinton, Ohio, man was sentenced to four years in prison after putting his hands down the pants of a 7-year-old girl in September of last year.
Jacob R. Patton, 30, pleaded guilty to gross sexual imposition yesterday, a felony of the third degree.
“On September 1, 2010, up to and through September 5, 2010 … Patton put his hand down the panties of a seven 7-year-old girl and had sexual contact with her by touching her vaginal area,” stated a news release from Athens County Prosecuting Attorney Keller Blackburn.
Patton was sentenced to four years in prison, and was ordered to register as a sexually oriented offender with community notification required.
The case was investigated by the Athens Police Department.
