Three people were hospitalized following an accident on East State Street around 5 p.m. today.
A car driven by a woman was hit by another car heading down East State near the Kroger. The woman was driving her car out of the parking lot when it was hit by the second car, going at full speed through a red light, said eye-witness Matt Patterson.
Patterson, among others, ran up to the Nissan that had been hit and opened the door. The woman, her child in the backseat and the man in the other car were unconscious, but regained consciousness shortly after.
All three where taken from the scene by ambulance. The cars, which were all badly damaged, were taken from the scene by police.
