Black Student Cultural Programming Board distributes free cupcakes

Students walking through Baker University Center’s second floor today can grab cupcakes and punch to go, courtesy of the Black Student Cultural Programming Board.

The extravaganza featured a DJ, balloons, confetti, candy and stations for students to put their own personal touch to their cupcakes with frosting, sprinkles and other toppings.

“We do a lot of programming and bring a lot of fun stuff for all students,” said Alexis Wills, the PR director for the organization. “All of our activities are safe and alcohol-free.”

A line quickly formed next to the Multicultural Center for students waiting to receive a free cupcake.

Dexaray Porter, a junior studying social work, not only took advantage of the free cupcakes but also said she also frequently benefits from the Black Student Cultural Programming Board.

“The Black Student Cultural Programming Board has helped me meet new people and become more social,” Porter said.
