Deputies from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested four suspects after discovering 18 grams of crack cocaine in a Marietta residence yesterday morning.

The Sheriff’s Office’s Major Crimes Task Force raided a trailer at 817 Masonic Park Road Lot 10, Marietta and found 18 grams of crack cocaine packaged individually for sale, according a Sheriff’s Office news release.

The owner of the trailer, Josey C. Barton, 20, was arrested and said two of the males present traveled to her house twice weekly to sell illegal drugs, according to the release.

Deputies found the two men, Lance M. Glenn, 27, of Columbus and Thomas J. Givens, 24, of Columbus, in the bedroom where the cocaine was discovered with a digital scale and package of plastic bags nearby.

Glenn and Givens were charged with complicity in trafficking cocaine, a second-degree felony and could each spend a maximum of eight years in prison and pay a maximum fine of $15,000, according to the Ohio Revised Code.

Barton was charged with permitting drug abuse, a fifth-degree felony and could spend a maximum of 12 months in prison and pay a maximum fine of $2,500.

The fourth person found in the trailer was Chadwick L. Smearman, 30, who was arrested for violating the terms of his probation, according to the release.

All four suspects are being held in the Washington County Jail without bail until their first court appearance.
