A car belonging to former Ohio baseball player Gauntlett Eldemire was broken into sometime between Sunday night and Monday afternoon.
According to an Athens Police Department report, the windshield of Eldemire’s 2011 Mercedes GLK350 was smashed sometime between 11 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.
Eldemire’s car was parked on Mill Street when the damage occurred. According to the report, the damage was estimated at $500. There are no suspects.
Eldemire played three seasons with Ohio and is a member of the Philadelphia Phillies organization.
Eldemire finished his Ohio career ranked in the top five in Bobcat history in home runs, runs and stolen bases.
