A Southeast Ohio native will cap a three-time Grammy Award-winning career with a performance at the Gladys W. and David H. Patton
College of Education and Human Services’s 125th anniversary gala.
Nancy Wilson’s performance, which will be her last after
60 years of shows, will highlight the three-day celebration.
Wilson was born in Chillicothe and Renée A. Middleton, dean of the Patton College of Education, said Wilson is delighted her final performance will be in the state where her career began.
“We thought it wise to invite Nancy as she is a product of Southeast Ohio,”
Middleton said.
Today, Saturday and Sunday all will feature several programs commemorating the anniversary and recognizing the college.
“The impact that the college has had statewide, nationally and internationally is worthy of celebration,” Middleton said.
Wilson will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday. Tickets for the Gala
are $75.
