Tonight local bar, Jackie O’s, 24 W. Union St., will be preparing for what celebrities Jamie Fox and Steve Harvey call ‘Spike Style’.
Who is the creator of Spike Style? Well, Spike Davis himself. And he's here tonight.
Appearing on shows on BET and Laffapalooza he has worked with Chris Rock and other famous comedians through out his career.
Davis gained comedic notoriety starting in 1986 and has been owning the stage ever since with his clever, clean, and fresh material. Davis does not just tell what he calls ‘joke jokes’ but supplies a new hilarious perspective on everyday life and what’s going on in the world today.
Spike’s most common form of comedy is impersonations of celebrities like Eddie Murphy and Prince. But, he also comments on social issues like men or women dressing in the ‘wrong’ way.
Spike Davis and his ‘Spike Style’ will take the stage at 8:30 p.m. Cover charge is six dollars for those under 21 and four dollars plus a one drink minimum for those of legal age.
