The Friends and Neighbors Community Choice Food Center will be handing out free produce this Saturday, in an effort to support eligible residents.
The Giveaway will be held at the Athens County Job and Family Services County Home parking lot, on Rt. 13 next to the Athens County Dog Shelter, from 10 a.m. until noon.
Families and individuals at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty level are eligible, according to a Jobs and Family Services news release.
Those unsure of their eligibility will be able to check to see if they meet the guidelines at the giveaway, states the release.
