A small snack cake created a slight roadblock in four students’ Bromley Hall elevator ride tonight.
At about 9:30 tonight, firefighters and a police cruiser responded to a call reporting that four students were trapped in an elevator in Bromley.
A Little Debbie-type snack had become lodged in the elevator door, causing it to jam.
Custodial staff assisted in efforts to open the elevators for the students, said Lt. Doug Ford. The staff members unlocked the elevator doors so the students could finish their ride, he said.
Ford said the students were unalarmed, adding that the combined efforts of the fire department and custodial staff provided a quick fix.
