The city of Athens is asking for volunteers to join Halloween weekend safety teams.
Safety-team volunteers would participate in the Halloween celebration, Oct. 29, by helping partygoers and visitors find first aid and giving directions, among other duties.
Those available to help are asked to be available from 8 p.m. until 2 a.m., but volunteers unable to make that commitment are still welcome to participate, according to a city news release.
